A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Cabot Cove hosted our second candlelight dinner themed A Midsummer Night’s Dream; based on the William Shakespeare play. It was a magical evening with Victoria on the harp and fairy lights flickering to create an inviting ambiance! Chef Mike created an elegant meal featuring dishes named after characters from the play! Some of the dishes were Hermia’s honeydew salad, Demetrius’s Catch, and he also created King Obreon’s chicken Florentine! Last but not least was Titiana’s treat: a beautiful chocolate mousse with a chocolate fairy on top. Everyone looked marvelous and fancy! The ladies wore fun flower head bands to brighten the evening. The photo booth had whimsical trees with fairy lights that brought elegance and fun to the evening! We are looking forward to our Christmas candlelight dinner in December!

Friday Ice Cream Funday!

Fridays at Cabot Cove are often full of sunshine, cheer, and memorable moments. With a perfect balance of fun activities and wonderful friends, it is no surprise why our residents enjoy this very special day of the week with smiles and cheer!

To start our Friday morning, after enjoying a balanced breakfast, everyone gathers around for “Sit-n-Fit Exercise”. Walter, Ernie, & Pat always feel happy when they can finally put down the hand weights! Exercise is a great way to feel more energized, and it helps to be happy and fit!

Making our way over to our afternoon game of Bingo, Patti, Rose, Judy, & Mary claim their lucky seats, as well as their winning cards! Bingo gets our minds warmed up and is the best game to play with our friends while enjoying a nice cup of French Vanilla from the coffee bar!

After the excitement from the Friday bingo game residents all sit back and relax to the treat of an ice cream afternoon! From ice cream bars, root beer floats to banana splits, it’s always enjoyed by many of the Cabot Cove residents & staff! We all scream for ice cream!

Shop Till You Drop!

We had no one drop, but our residents sure did have a fun time buying the store out last month! Every month Cabot Cove takes shopping trips to Walmart, Dollar Tree or Publix. In August the gang shopped at Walmart. Barbara, Jack, Kay, Micky, & Violet had a great time getting out while doing some fun shopping!
