Mother’s Day and Fairy Tea Party!
Our Mother’s Day Fairy Tea Party was a big hit! Kristina from Hair Glitz of Florida came and gave several of our ladies “Fairy Hair” tinsel! It was great fun; we had tea and punch along with pastries. Our Mother’s Day luncheon was delicious! The kitchen whipped up prime rib and salmon with caprese salad, veggies and key lime pie for dessert. Corsages were passed out to all the ladies, and the room was filled with smiles and a great time!

Crystal Flower Craft
Our senior ladies had a great time making crystal coated flowers! Using borax and hot water, it creates a beautiful crystal coating on the faux flowers. This month we will be making our very own perfume right here at Cabot Cove of Largo! Come and check it out! Family welcome to participate.

Alice loves the hot pink!

Resident Council Meetings!
The purpose of having a resident council in health care facilities is to give residents greater participation in affairs within their own home, to suggest improvements and assist administration in providing better programs, surroundings, and services. Every resident is a member of the resident council. The duties of the resident council offices are: President who will preside over all meetings, Vice–President presides in the absence of the president, and the Secretary records and maintains minutes of each meeting. The responsibility of the council officers is to greet new members and orient them to the facility. Also, to serve as a liaison between the activity, dietary & medical services and the residents. The officers are to listen to concerns and provide an opportunity for discussion before the full council meets. They are to follow up on complaints with the administrator or ombudsman. Source for information is from Resident Council Handbook. At the next Resident Council meeting June 15th, we will be electing a new secretary for the resident Council.
Town Hall Meetings!
Starting in June the new town hall meetings will be on the first Tuesday of each month at 4:00 pm in the activity room. These meetings are designed for our assisted living residents to come together and talk to Dragana about any issues or concerns, and for her to inform residents of up and coming events happening around the facility, such as repair work, resolving past issues, new purchases, etc. We encourage all residents to attend these meetings as well as attending the resident council meetings.
June Outings!
On Wednesdays, Cabot Cove residents enjoy outside trips to stores for shopping or lunches. We are hoping for more participants in these activities. Please join us in the month of June as we venture out to Suncoast Hospice House Thrift Store and Family Dollar for shopping. We are going to Applebee’s & Roosterfish for lunches. Family is welcome to meet us there and join in on the fun!
