Luau Candlelight Dinner!
Cabot Cove hosted our fifth candlelight dinner with a “Hawaiian Luau” theme! Hawaiian Island decor all around! Luau music playing in the background for a soothing ambiance. Everyone received a Hawaiian lei, and the ladies all received a flower for their hair. The kitchen staff made a beautiful & delicious Baked ham with pineapple, Hawaiian chicken, and rice pilaf with mixed veggies. The dessert was a delicious coconut cake! All our senior residents had a great time! A big thank you to all that helped make this candlelight dinner a huge success! We are looking forward to our Christ mas candlelight dinner in December!

Lewis & Pete at the dinner. Looking good fellas!

Micki had a great time at the candlelight dinner! Classy as always!

Maria, happy as can be and showing off her flower bracelet.

Donna with her Blue Hawaiian Punch! Yum!

June all dressed for the occasion! Beautiful!
Welcome Liz Rosario!
Liz Rosario is Cabot Cove’s new Director of Nursing! She was born in Puerto Rico. Her family, parents and siblings moved to New York City in 1981. She lived there most of her adult life until moving to Florida in 2015. Liz has worked in the healthcare field for 30 years. She has always loved working with the senior population. Enjoying the different positions within the healthcare field, she eventually received her LPN license. Liz loves the outdoors, especially going to the beach and breathing in the wonderful ocean air. She loves dancing, music, and she absolutely loves animals! We welcome Liz to the Cabot Cove family!

Bingo Anyone?
At Cabot Cove BINGO is one of our favorites! Our senior residents play every Monday, Wednesday & Friday. The game made its way to the United States in the early 20th century, initially known as “Beano” and played at carnivals. Players would mark numbers on cards using beans and shout “Beano!” when they formed a winning pattern. A pivotal moment occurred in 1929 when Edwin S. Lowe, a New York toy salesman, observed a game of Beano at a carnival in Georgia. According to popular legend, while Lowe was developing his own version, one of his friends excitedly exclaimed “Bingo!” instead of “Beano” upon winning, and the new name stuck. Come on out and join us! If you’ve never played. Check and see what all the fun is about!

Congratulations Maude on your big win!

Judy’s winning prize!
Our Senior Residents Love Dining Out!
Every month we visit one or two restaurants. Last month we went to Santa Fe Mexican Restaurant & Largo Family Restaurant. Both very good! This month we are going to Mellow Mushroom Pizza & Rizo’s Cuisine Restaurant. Family is welcome to meet us at the restaurants and have a fun after noon with us!

Julie met us at Santa Fe Mexican and we had a blast! Lynn, Debbie & Yvonne enjoyed delicious food. We had yummy fried cheesecake for dessert!
