Valentine’s Fun with Elvis!
The Valentine’s Party at Cabot Cove was a big hit! We had Tim Rowland perform as Elvis Presley! He rocked & rolled the crowd, with smiles, singing & laughter! Our senior residents enjoyed yummy Valentine punch & heart shaped cookies. We also crowned our 2026 Valentine King & Queen! Congratulations to Roger & June! A big thank you to the friends & family that could come to our event!

Come join us this month for our fun & festive St Patrick’s Day Party! The fun begins on March 17th @ 2:30 pm. Cabot Cove’s Activity Department will be serving up Shamrock Shakes & lots of goodies! Family & friends welcome! Reminder for all our senior residents: “Be sure to dress in green, so you don’t get pinched! “May the lilt of Irish laughter lighten every load” “A good friend is like a four-leaf clover: hard to find and lucky to have”.
Happy at Her Best!
She grew up on a farm in Castalian Springs, TN. She tells us that her main objective growing up was to get out of work. As the youngest of 3 children, she would hide until someone else would help her Daddy with the chores that needed to be done. When she was a young teen, the military had practice maneuvers around their property. Happy and her two sisters would watch where one team was hiding and tell the other team where they were. That might have been the most exciting thing that ever happened on the farm. Happy now remembers those times of plenty for their family and is grateful that they had their gardens, animals, and crops so they did not have to go without as many other families did during the depression.
Happy married in college and she and her husband, Frank, moved to Texas for a time and then to Largo, FL in 1957. They eventually had 3 children. Happy worked as a mom and housewife until her children were all in school. She then worked as a substitute teacher, later as a bank teller, and then went on to work in the offices of Morton Plant. Happy was always a teacher at heart. Her favorite “job” was teaching Sunday School. She taught young people and adults over the years. Happy spent many hours studying the scriptures to enrich her understanding of God’s Word. She has spent her time reading, learning about different things like investing, finances, healthy living, and alternative healing methods. She always liked to cook, was a wonderful caretaker of her home and yard.

At Cabot Cove we are always ready for a celebration! Well, Mardi Gras didn’t pass us by without a fantastic time! Congratulations to Lynda & Diane for the honor of finding the baby in the King Cake! We always have a great time at Cabot Cove — and our senior residents love it when friends & family can join in!
