A Look inside Cabot Cove of Largo Assisted Living & Integrated Memory Care Community

Cabot Cove hosted our fourth candlelight dinner themed “Under the Sea”. Magical decoration accompanied by an evening of music & song. David Miller played his guitar and sang as the evening went on. Everyone looked marvelous and fancy. The kitchen staff made a beautiful & delicious Fish Pie and Flank Steak with mashed potatoes & veggies. To start the meal shrimp cocktail and blue shark attack beverages were served. Dessert was a swimmingly good Vanilla mousse with ocean sprinkles. Our pho to booth was fun with Under the Sea! The men were King Neptune and the ladies dressed as Mermaid of the Sea! Everyone had a great time! A big thank you to all that helped make this dinner a huge success! We are looking forward to our Christmas candlelight dinner in December!

Art & Crafts Always a Big Hit!

Every month the residents enjoy Arts & Craft class. We do an array of different crafts and art projects. It is a way to show expression and skill in a fun & friendly environment! When we paint it is usually abstract, so there is no right or wrong! We decoupage & paint using cigar boxes, parchment paper, popsicle sticks, old puzzle pieces, anything fun we can find! We encourage family & friends to come and join in on the fun! Crafting is a great way to destress, it helps to take your mind off of any problems. It helps to give the residents a feeling of satisfaction and helps to build self-esteem. It also helps to build mental agility. Crafting makes you feel happier and is great for motor skills. This month we will be creating wreaths for the up and coming holidays.

We had no one shop till they dropped, but our residents sure did have a fun time buying the store out last month! Every month Cabot Cove takes shopping trips to Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Thrift stores & Burlington. We always have a blast! This month, we are going to Bealls Store & Dollar Tree for more shopping adventures! Sign-up sheet is located at the front office!
